Virtual Grand Prix uses on-screen animation to show the cars on the track. Each car is ‘controlled’by the racing teams, represented by sections of the audience, and led by a racing driver look-a-likewho trains their team and provides instructions.

You’ve heard of air guitar — well, Virtual Grand Prix is air motor racing. It is designed to appeal tothe Formula One driver in all of us.

By turning their virtual steering wheels, leaning right and left, ducking for bridges and screaming out sound effects for a varietyof manoeuvres, the teams control the progress of their cars and react to instructions flashed up on screen. The action begins onthe starting grid where lights flash from red to green and the race to the finish line begins. Be prepared for virtual spins, virtualblow-outs and virtual pile-ups as the cars career around the track at breakneck speeds while live commentary gives updates andpredictions. The team that works together as one will get to the chequered flag first, take the winner’s podium and bask in theglory.
