Music is food for the soul — a panacea for the mind and continues to touch hearts the world over. It is a common bond between cultures, age groups and eras!

Each individual team is responsible for a single soundtrack that will be included on the final company cd. During the event, teams will visit various “recording studios” to perform a particular segment of their song.

Key elements such as percussion, guitar, keyboard and vocals are facilitated by qualified musicians. The team will be taught to play their particular instrument and once perfection is reached, it will be recorded. When each team has experienced all the various workshops they will assist the sound engineer with their recordings and their efforts will then be mixed. The process completed, their recordings will produce a unique cd.

Other considerations also have to be taken into account such as the lyrics and the design of the cd cover. A photo shoot with a professional photographer completes the challenge. Appropriate costumes are all provided.

Rock Idol is an ideal challenge where teams work separately, calling upon their individual team resources and skills and yet, are still working toward a common goal. The end result is a unique, limited edition cd.
